You’re looking for an online social skills group that you can participate in from the comfort of your own home.
Finding yourself wanting to connect with other neurodiverse individuals who understand the struggles you are having.
You understand the value of learning and practicing important social skills, even when you can’t leave your home.
There are times when going to group therapy is challenging. This may be due to being extremely busy, living too far from the therapy clinic, or having to shelter in place during a global health crisis like COVID-19. Regardless, you deserve support and the opportunity to find a group where you can feel like you belong.
Online Group Therapy Provides You a Unique Opportunity to Connect with Other Autistic Individuals
At Open Doors Therapy, we believe in the power of the group. Our autism therapists are trained in facilitating social skills groups for autistic teens and adults online. Ultimately, the goal is to improve your life, set you up for success, and help you build self-confidence!

The Details of Online Group Therapy for Individuals with Autism in California
Online group therapy has been successful in building a connection between autistic individuals who are of a similar age and profile. The main difference between online group therapy and in-person group therapy is that the participants are connecting via video platform instead of in our Palo, Alto counseling clinic. Otherwise, our participants are still able to build a rapport and a strong connection with each other. Ultimately, online group therapy provides the same safe place for participants to open up and be vulnerable with each other.
All you will need to participate in an online group is a computer, tablet, or smart device, and a secure internet connection. To participate, you will download an app (that is very similar to Zoom). Then, you will click on the link you were provided via email. Additionally, our video platform is secure and HIPAA compliant.
Due to professional licensure, we are only able to provide group therapy to residents of California.
